The following Patriot's are in various sources as being buried in Johnson Co., IN.
There is no listing of them in the 2000  Johnson County Cemetery Listing published by the County
Historical Society and I have not found graves for any of these people.

Benjamin Bell: There are no Benjamin Bell's listed in Johnson Co. His name was mentioned in an
Indianapolis Star
'Did You Know?' piece on Oct. 8, 2003. Benjamin is said to be the brother of
Nathaniel Bell listed above. The Indiana Society, Son's of the American Revolution site says he was
buried in Clay Co., IN and a relative says he may have been buried in Iowa. [More...]

Joshua Davidson: There are no burials for a Joshua Davidson listed in the Johnson County Cemetery

James Kerr: There are two James Kerr's in Johnson County, both born much after the Revolution.

Finley McClintock: Finley is the sonof John McClintock listed above. Finley served in the War of 1812 and is
buried in Missouri. His name mistakenly appears on Patriot Rock at Greenlawn Cemetery. (see photos below.)


William McCool: The only William McCool listed as buried in the county was born in 1840.

William Pitcher: Both William Pitcher's buried in Johnson County were born after the Revolution.

This monument, I call it Patriot Rock, was installed by the Alexander Hamilton Chapter Daughter's of the American
Revolution at Greenlawn Cemetery in 1917. It honors all Patriot's buried in Johnson County
although there are no known Patriot burials at Greenlawn. There are many errors on the list.
